Who We Are and What We Do — Our Mission
To create extraordinary theatre in a collaborative environment that engages audiences, educates our community and explores the capacity for creative expression in each and every individual.
Theatre Artists Studio is a community of artists—actors, directors, playwrights, producers, singers, dancers, musicians, designers and technical wizards—practicing their chosen crafts in a professional, challenging environment that fosters collaboration and mutual growth through Studio membership. As a result, The Studio is also a unique venue for theatre entertainment, communication and interaction between our members and our public community, with opportunites to work on innovative projects, mentor emerging talent and maintain a valuable educational resource, promoting a deeper understanding of the power and imagination of theatre.
The Studio is a rich resource for our Valley Community and Arizona, annually presenting a varied season of professionally crafted productions—dramas, comedies, musicals, short plays and original works—at remarkably affordable prices. The Studio also offers a diverse educational program for Studio members and the general public with workshops in acting, writing, singing, theatre survey courses, summer children's program, play readings and discussions.
Theatre Artists Studio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Studio gives professionals and aspiring professionals alike a chance to work together—to train and learn from each other—and, in the process, to deliver high-quality performances before live audiences. In an area with limited professional theatre venues, The Studio offers professional theatre artists a home, a facility and a family where they can maintain and hone their skills in workshop and actual performance.
