Judy was a founding member of Actors Theatre of Phoenix and served as the Artistic Director for 8 ½ years. During her tenure, Actors Theatre won the Critics Circle Award for Innovative Programming – Brown Bag Theater and the New Times Award for the Best Professional Theater. Judy is also recipient of the Phoenix Gazette's award for Best Director of a Drama. Nuts, Orphans, Traveler in the Dark, and They Dance Real Slow in Jackon, Baby Dance and Park Your Car in Harvard Yard are among her many directing credits for Actors Theatre. A member of Actors Equity Association, Judy has served on the Maricopa Community Colleges Arts Day Speaker's Panel, Arizona State University Theater Advisory Board, Arizona Theater Conference Audition Workshop Panel and Design/Director Panel, ariZoni Awards Organization Executive Committee and Arizona Commission on the Arts Artist Roster Panel. She ran a very successful comprehensive Actor Training Program for the Herberger Theater Center and is presently the Director of the Lunch Time Theater Program, where she performed her own one-woman show in August of 2005. In 1995, Judy won the ariZoni Lifetime Award for Outstanding Contribution to Theater in Phoenix.
