Paco is a playwright/screenwriter whose dramatic work “weirds” (makes strange) the intersection of identity, politics and pop culture. He earned an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Arizona State University and a BA in Drama from Catholic University of America. Paco has received numerous accolades for his creative endeavors including five D.C. Larry Neal Writer’s Awards. In 2019, he was chosen to be part of Tempe Creative Cohort, a program designed to advance the careers of performance-based artists. In 2021 and 2022, he became a member of the Artist Investment Program, a pilot program of the Arizona Commission on the Arts which invests in Arizona artists.
Paco has written hundreds of plays and screenplays. Recent production credits with B3 Theater of Phoenix include Rosemary’s Baby Goes to High School (2020), Herlandia (2021), Swamp Girl/Zombie Girl (2021), and The Cannibal Diaries (2023). In 2025, Paco performed Transgender Bathroom Police for Performing Democracy with New Carpa Theater. He currently resides in Tempe, AZ. [LinkedIn profile]
