Many years ago, pursuing a career in nursing seemed a better option for me than going to art school. The desire to learn how to paint continued so I enrolled in art classes whenever possible. I graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in nursing.
I attended Johnson State college in Vermont and Bellevue College in Omaha Nebraska where I studied design, painting, printmaking and took advantage of numerous workshops from nationally known artists. This motivated me to develop an abstract style of painting which continues to this day.
I have exhibited my work in New England, the Mid West and South West. After a forty-five
year career in nursing I continue to paint almost every day.
