Karen Gray resides in Phoenix, Arizona. While her adult professional career was in the medical field, art has been an essential part of her life. While at ASU, courses in drawing, painting, and life drawing enhanced her knowledge base. Additional college course work and workshops provided through AWA, Shemer, and classes with Julie Pollard provided further growth.

As a member of the Arizona Watercolor Association, Contemporary Watercolorists of Arizona, and Arizona Artists Guild, she has participated in numerous exhibitions. As of October 2022, she achieved Signature status with AWA.
